Fundraising

Each family is encouraged to fundraise as little or as much as they desire.  We have a number of on-going fundraisers throughout the season such as:  Metrodome concessions and Ralia concessions.  We also plan to provide monthly fundraisers organized by our fundraising coordinator such as:  flower sales, Simek’s sales, taste testing etc. (these events are based on interest and availability).  The funds raised are directly applied toward the family’s dues.

Minnesota Select has a variety of different fundraising opportunities available for families to help defer some of the season fees.  These include but are not limited to:

  • Concessions, ticket taking and site directing at the numerous events that take place at Ralia Sports Center.

  • Older players may apply to serve as a mentor to a younger Minnesota Select team.

  • Metrodome concessions.

“Let Me Play” Grants will be awarded in November, 2007 for activities that begin after November 1, 2007 and before May 1, 2008. Applications will be accepted from August 1- October 19, 2007. Applications postmarked after October 19, 2007 will not be accepted or reviewed.  See the "Let Me Play" individual grant application on their website.

Minnesota girls ages 5-19 are eligible to apply. Each application will be screened by a Foundation IX representative prior to going to committee to assure that each application reviewed by committee is complete and valid.

The amount of money to be granted to an individual girl is not to exceed $1000. The amount and number of grants awarded each session will be determined by the number of qualified applicants and the amount of funds available.
